Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany held a “Kiwanis One Day” at Parsippany Child Day Care Center on Saturday, May 17. The volunteers are cleaning and preparing the playground to make room for the new playground equipment. The Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany’s Foundation recently awarded a $5,000 grant to the Parsippany Child Day Care Center, to help them purchase new playground equipment. The Mission of Kiwanis Club is to change the world one child and one community at a time.
Peggy Rauscher said “Staff members and families at Parsippany Child Day Care Center are excited to be working on the rebuild of our Preschool Playground. The installation will begin in June 2014. We will celebrate a new Toddler Playground (Fall 2013) and Preschool Playground (Summer 2014) with an official ceremony.”

Each year, Kiwanis clubs around the world join in a day of service. It’s a global effort, but it’s made of personal commitments.
After all, Kiwanis One Day consists of the involvement of Kiwanis club members around the world. It extends to the impact that Kiwanis has on our community. And it results in an international spirit of service that inspires people worldwide.
